My Creative Space

I'm so glad to finally have my creative space in order. It's not as big as the last room I had, but it's upstairs with 2 big windows. I love having sunlight and a nice fresh California breeze blowing in through the open windows. It's actually refreshing and relaxing to come in here. I have some ideas for cute ways to decorate the room to make it really fit my style. Did you see the post on Kathy Millers Blog about starching fabric to the wall? I can't wait to do that!!! Maybe with a few pictures, some new curtains, and a Bath and Body Wall Flower (Sweet Pea, or Cherry Blossoms) the room will be complete.

It won't be lacking in color once all the new fabrics I have ordered arrive and with my computer in the corner I always have good tunes from all the great Blogger playlists. Don't you just love Blogs?  I do:)

First off...This picture is AWESOME! I found it on the internet and it took my breath away. Those colors are so plush!  Now back to reality...

Rough week? Me too! I have a lot I would like to complain about, but I won't:) Instead I'll share a quote from my end table book Stand A Little Taller:

The Quality of Mercy

There is so much hatred in the world. There is so much bitterness in the world. There is so much selfishness in the world. There is so much arrogance in the world. What a marvelous thing to have in our lives the quality of mercy, of reaching out to others in a spirit of mercy, love, and kindness.

I like this quote! Isn't it just so true?  It pertains to an experience I had this week that brought my spirits down. Rather than dwell on it, I think I'll just do what I can by trying to Stand A Little Taller starting with my own 2 feet! After all, being 5'3" I could use a little height :)

I love the book this quote came from. It has counsel and inspiration for each day of the year. It's great for these little trying moments in our lives.

Okay Girls! I finally sat down and edited all my pictures. It took me a few hours to "photo shop" everyone like I promised I would:)  and I only cried 6, maybe 7 times! We had such good times and I want to tell you all how much I LOVE YOU! I'll miss all the Girls Night Outs, Bunko, Lunch, Dinner, Movies, PJ Parties, Weddings, Pool Days, Birthday's, laughs, tears, all of it. If I don't get a GNO soon I might freak out! Come and see me ASAP.

I just had to share my joy that there is an In-N-Out right by my house! I need to limit myself to once a month so I don't get sick of it. The #2 combo animal style is TDF (it has grilled onions on it!!!) If you haven't ever eaten at In-N-Out and there is one within 100 miles of where you live, I recommend taking the trip. It's sooo worth it!

Here is a little sneak peek of my teen pattern for Fall! I have had tons of requests to make a pattern for teens similar to the one in the embellished book. Mom's want to get their daughters sewing and this is the perfect way! It's time to pull out those old "favorite" jeans that need a new look and get sewing girls:)

   

This pattern includes instructions on how to embellish jeans and comes with the pattern and insructions for the purse! Fun, Fun, Fun...It is being sent to the printer this week and should be back in about 3 weeks.
